Playing catch up..

So you all may have been shocked when I all of a sudden have an engagement post! So I thought I would play a little catch up and fill you in on my amazing love story.

Disclaimer: This post is not for the people who hate Love. This is cheesy and mushy and amazing, so if you are a love hater, leave now.

A lot has happened in the past few months, including falling in love, and getting engaged! Here is my story with Landon.

Landon and I have known each other for a few years. He went to Olympus and I went to East. We have mutual friends and have been acquaintances for a while.

This summer Landon took a little trip to St. George with a group of friends and guess who happened to be lumped in that group of friends, non other than Meg! She told him on this trip that he should meet her sister because she thought that him and I would get along. It never really happened since Landon goes to BYU and I went to the U.

December 16, 2010: Doug Cartwright throws his annual ugly sweater christmas party. After dancing for hours Megan and I run into Landon! He introduces himself again and he gives me his number. I am not one to make the first move so I kind of brushed it off.

December 20, 2010: Landon is way frustrated that the hot babe from the party hasn't contacted him via cell phone that he takes it to the next level and writes on my facebook wall. How romantic.. hah but I finally give in and text him.

December 26, 2010: Our first date, garbage bag sledding. I have never had SO much fun on a date before. It was a little scary how much I liked him right away, but also a lot of fun!

Pretty much after our first date we have been inseparable.....

February 14, 2011: I got engaged to the LOVE of my life. He is perfect and everything to me.

It is crazy how life works out sometimes. I never thought I would be the girl to get engaged after dating someone for less than 2 months, but I did and I couldn't be happier! Landon is really my other half, and he makes me want to be such a better person. He inspires me and loves me so much! And I love him, obviously.

So that is our little love story so far. I can't wait for the future and for the fact that we are getting married in 111 DAYS!

Dear blog world,

I am sorry that I have been a horrible blogger lately, but there has been so much going on! Working full time (and over time) and planning a wedding is harder than it may sound. But I am starting to calm down a little bit. I have booked most of the vendors for the wedding and I am just getting really excited to be married! I know it is still 113 days away, I just want it to be here now. I am so in love with Landon it is unreal!

Anyway sorry I am a little mush ball, but this is the one time in life I am allowed to be gushy and in love right?!

I don't really have a point for this blog.. other than I love this bouquet for bridesmaids (ignore the wreath on the right).



I can't wait for the weekend so I can spend time with the future hubby. Wow, I love saying that. Hah.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful mother!

I am so grateful to have such an amazing women as my mom. She is the most caring, loving and incredible woman and I look up to her more than she will ever know! I love her with all of my heart and I am excited to keep learning from her and growing with her. I love you mom!

I AM ENGAGED!!!

And I am sure that all three of you blog stalkers are dying to hear the story. So here it is...

Valentines Day 2011:

The day started like any other day.. woke up too early, went to work, cruised some blogs at work, had my facebook fix etc..

9:00am: All I could think about all day was how excited I was to be able to spend my first Valentines Day with Landon, who is the man I am completely head over heels in love with! He had the whole night planned out.. ballroom dance class, dinner and a comedy show. I was so excited and the end of the work day could not come fast enough!

3:00pm: Guess who surprised me at work with the prettiest flowers ever? Well Landon of course! I was so excited and went as red as ever. It was fun showing him off to my co-workers and being able to see him before our date that night. He is amazing.

4:23pm: I couldn't handle the excitement anymore, so I left work early and went home to get ready for the night!

6:30pm: Landon picked me up and we were off! The dance class was down on State Street and it turned out to be a Salsa dance class. It was SO much fun! Landon is a heck of a dancer. We loved every minute.

8:00pm: After the dance class we headed to dinner at a little, authentic Mexican restaurant (the salsa dancing was making me crave a freaking quesadilla). It was so much fun, we basically had the restaurant to ourselves. This is where I gave Landon his gift and he loved my card I made him. It may or may not have looked like a sixth grader made it, whatever.

9:00pm: We were off to the Desert Star for the play. While we were driving we passed the Murray Theatre (where we met) and I got so excited! I told him we should walk over and see it before we headed to the show since we had a little bit of time. He thought it was a perfect idea.

While standing in front of the theatre Landon started telling me how much he loved me and dropped to his knee! I was shocked!! I had no idea he even had the ring yet so at first I thought he was joking (for maybe 3 seconds) until he pulled out the ring and asked me to MARRY HIM!!! I couldn't even think and all I could say was "oh my gosh". He stood up, hugged me and whispered in my ear "say yes!" Hah so of course I did! A few seconds after my parents and Meg and Landon's parents came out of the theatre clapping. I, of course was crying and so happy to see everyone, and then I noticed Sam and Weston holding video cameras! They had filmed the whole thing which I was so excited about, now I can watch the best moment of my life over and over.

It was perfect, in every way. The proposal, the ring, and most of all my future husband! I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend the rest of forever with. He is kind, spiritual, selfless, giving, and so much more. I have never met a more incredible person in my life and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!!
